THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: AN ANALYSIS OF THE SUSTAINABILITY TIMELINE AND THE ARTIFACTS PRODUCED UNTIL THE FORMALIZATION OF THE 2030 AGENDA
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article seeks to understand the historical line that made sustainability the protagonist of the various debates and discussions. The guiding question of this article is to know what assumptions were presented in the historical line of the debates related to the concept of sustainability and the artifacts that were the basis for the formalization of the 2030 Agenda. The methodology proposes the analysis of the artifacts and documents produced in the conferences where the theme was addressed, in order to assess the maturity of the arguments and verify the effectiveness of the proposals and solutions agreed upon, besides promoting a specific study on the efficiency of global discussion forums based on academic articles and dissertations on the subject involving sustainability and development. The work shows its relevance in the systematic consolidation of the discussions developed from the historical line, establishing connections between the agendas debated in global forums and the proposals and solutions recommended. The fourth topic presents the methodological procedures developed in this article. The results and artifacts produced from the debates constitute the fifth topic and the final considerations are dealt with in the sixth.
