Abstract
The pandemic revealed inequalities, generated losses and reduced rights, affecting countless Brazilians seriously impacted on their social rights. The objective of this work is to briefly discuss the problems generated in the health area, in the context of the health crisis, which in a transversal way affected the areas of education, work and the environment. The research was based on the collection of qualitative data, on personal work records and on the reading of public documents, including the relevant legislation. The result showed significant damage in the researched areas, for example: students who did not have access to technological means and are at a disadvantage compared to those who had the structure to study remotely, while thousands of informal workers lost their jobs or their only source of income. income, did not have adequate social protection from the State. The disparity was also felt in the environment, as a large portion of the population could not adopt simple hygiene measures such as washing their hands frequently, due to the lack of basic sanitation and access to water in quantity and quality. It was therefore concluded that, in many cases, the pandemic highlighted existing inequalities, and in others, it aggravated the situation of vulnerability of another portion of the Brazilian population, especially those living in the periphery, instigating us to reflect on an interdisciplinary and to think about alternatives and public policies that can mitigate current conditions and, despite the pandemic scenario experienced, guarantee human rights such as education, work and the environment, on equal terms.
