ABSTRACT


 


The Pila Verde Project is a socio-environmental project, which aims to make the population aware of solutions for composting organic waste, encourage the separation of organic waste and reduce costs with the final disposal of waste, favoring sustainability. The present work aims to present this project in detail, in addition to evaluating the results it presented until September 2022. Since its beginning, in June 2020, there has been an increase not only in the number of collection points, which currently number 14, but also also the number of waste collected and the green pile distributed, also resulting in higher values ​​in the savings provided, indicating the viability of the project.
