Main Article Content
Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals-SDGs have been the object of many studies and researches in view of the need to effective actions and policies to implement the 2030 Agenda, in favor of the preservation of natural resources and ensuring social, economic and environmental development. In this vein, this article proposes an analysis of how the new guidelines for Extension in Higher Education can be evaluated as a strategy for implementing the 2030 Agenda. The guiding question of this descriptive research with a qualitative approach is “How are the new guidelines for Extension Activities in Higher Education, can they contribute to the fulfillment of the SDGs within the scope of Higher Education Institutions -IES?” The adopted methodology was based on the literature review on sustainable development from the edition of Agenda 2030 and on the analysis of regulations related to the theme, mainly Mec Resolution nº. 7/2018. The expectation is that it will contribute in a practical way to the analysis of Extension Activities and the contribution of the IES in achieving the SDG, with a view to promoting the discussion of the subject, not eager to implement and expand a collaborative vision in the academic environment, the from transversal themes to sustainable development, relating them to extension activities and the importance of IEs in achieving the SDGs. The final considerations highlight some proposals for future studies and the bibliographical references that support the theoretical framework of this article.
