INTERDISCIPLINARITY AND SUSTAINABILITY: A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF THE INTERCONNECTION OF CONCEPTS

Abstract
The aim of this article is to verify the application of the concept of interdisciplinarity in issues related to sustainable development. To achieve this goal, a brief timeline was drawn from the concern with the environment to the creation of the concept of sustainability and its interconnection with different areas of knowledge. In this way, we tried to understand different fields of science complementing each other in sustainability studies. The method used to fulfill this concept was the bibliographical survey on the studied concepts and the association between them.
