Abstract
The textile industry and, consequently, the solid waste from the sector, confer harmful environmental impacts to the environment, mainly through linear production models. Innovative methods consider the circular production model, in which there is maximum use of raw materials, cleaner and more sustainable production. The present study aimed to analyze the world academic production on the application of the Circular Economy in the textile industry, highlighting the solid waste of the sector, in order to deepen the discussions on technological routes of these materials, in the time frame from 2010 to 2021. The bibliometric survey, Scientometric and Infometric were carried out through three main sources of research and scientific bases: Web of Science (WoS), Science Direct (Elsevier) and SciVerseScopus (Scopus), through the systematization of stages, proceeding in a methodological division divided into three stages: (i) data collection, (ii) data processing and (iii) qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed an increase in scientific production in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 (considering the first semester), mainly, highlighting the indicators analyzed in the research. The European continent holds 60.12% of the articles and a total of 33 countries were analyzed in the study. It was observed that 165 researchers contributed to the scientific advancement of research related to the application of Circular Economy in textile solid waste. It was concluded that the studies should be more in-depth for research and academic publications on the subject, aiming to broaden understanding and identify operational strategies.
