Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to verify the management of Class II supply (uniforms, shoes, swimwear and bedding), from the receipt by the Military Organization (OM) until the final disposal, its use as 2nd and 3rd class material and final destination. when not considered considered 4th class. To this end, a questionnaire, visits and interviews were conducted at the Guarnição de Recife OMs, together with the subunits' materials officers. Given the results, it is hoped that this work will be an important part in order to redistribute, reuse, reuse and recycle as much as possible Class II materials, specifically uniforms, shoes, swimwear and bedding, and guide the executing agents. direct and indirect to practice environmentally appropriate final disposal, observing specific operational rules in order to avoid damage or risks to public health, safety, minimizing adverse environmental impacts; and that this study be added as part of the OM Environmental Management Plan and update theme of the 2nd Edition of the Environmental Practices Primer in the Military Organizations of the Brazilian Army.
