Abstract
The social technologies implemented in Cariri Oriental- PB, appear as an alternative the coexistence with the semi-arid, since the production in the family unit linked to the programs One Million Cisterns - P1MC; A Land Two Waters – P1 +2, the drilling of wells and surface and underground dams improve the income of families, it was from this hypothesis that the present study aimed to analyze the impact of technologies of coexistence with the semi-arid in the budget line of resident families, based on the basis that consumption preferences would occur from the usefulness of the good, social technologies are the result of efforts to collectives, in order to confront the natural issues presented by the semi-arid, since they are products, techniques or methodologies capable of being replicated with solutions of social transformations,; with main objective to present alternatives to facilitate social inclusion and improvement in the quality of life of the population. Semi-structured questionnaires, interviews with farmers, union presidents and representatives of the municipal government were used as methodology and state, for data analysis, Excel spreadsheets were used and the functions consumption and utility based on microeconomic theories, whose results show that the implementation of social technologies improve sushands, increasing consumption and giving them quality of life.
