IMPLEMENTATION OF STANDARD 17025 IN AN ACADEMIC LABORATORY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

In the present work, the technical criteria of the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard related to the theme of effluent treatment and environmental measurements mentioned in the state of Minas Gerais by the Normative Resolution COPAM 216 of 2017 were addressed, with the objective of implementing the main quality control mechanisms in an academic laboratory in compliance with the norm and aiming to demonstrate the importance of standardization and traceability. The study was carried out by setting up liquid effluent analysis procedures, including sampling, validation tests according to DOQ-CGRE-008 to determine the quantification limits for each method and the creation of a sampling form, registration and report spreadsheets for final issuance of results. Additionally, the control chart and the measurement uncertainty calculation for one of the tests obtained by observation during a year of analysis were demonstrated. In summary, after the execution of the work proposal, it was possible to obtain a technical view and knowledge for possible accreditations of standard 17025 in laboratories providing services in environmental tests.
