SUSTAINABLE CONDOMINIUMS: SHORTAGE CHALLENGES OF NATURAL RESOURCES

Abstract

Nowadays, waste coupled with the increase in demand for this resource, has become a problem that requires the attention of all, due to the decreasing availability of fresh water on our planet. It should be borne in mind that daily water is used in several activi-ties in our lives (personal hygiene, feeding, cleaning, irrigation of gardens, the Hindus-industry and agriculture), and did not even have the sense of their importance, it appears everyone has a lot to learn about the importance of this resource for the survival of spe-cies. Therefore sustainability is the order of the day, every day more society is mobilized, and more and more actions are taken to accomplish this. Condominiums, much of dwelling places of the population in urban centers, can not be left out. But it's not easy to turn a condo in case of sustainability, the liquidators who are trying to know it. Educate residents make changes in habits and composed ments of everyday life can be difficult and time consuming, but it is possible and necessary. The high spending on water is now a major problem for condominiums. Depending on the pre-dione structure and the number of residents, the cost of water can reach the top of the higher expenses its entire condominium budget. This study was prepared in order to suggest some measure of simple, low-cost condos can take to save water, such as; the implementation of aerators on taps, rainwater reuse, individualization of measuring water consumption and environmental awareness of investors. The expected results are significant savings of condominium fee, benefiting finan-ros to the condo and tenants, creating the prospect in parallel a more sustainable community.
