INVESTIGATION ON CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF THE WATER QUALITY IN LAGO VERDE, PARAGOMINAS, PARÁ
Main Article Content
Abstract
Water is the most precious common good for the maintenance and conservation of life, so the maintenance of its quality is essential. The objective of this research was to investigate the quality of the water of Lago Verde, in the municipality of Paragominas-PA. The method used was investigative associated with a quantitative approach, with an applied nature. The data obtained and analyzed indicated that Total Dissolved Solids (0.239± mg/L) and Electrical Conductivity (37.4±1.5) were in conformity with the limnimetric parameters established by CONAMA Resolution 357/05 (Vmax. = 500 mg/L). As for Dissolved Oxygen, the data obtained (3.4±0.5) indicated a tendency to decrease when compared to the guidelines established for Class III (< 6 mg/L). Another variable measured was the Hydrogen Potential (¯x = 5.9±0.1) that when compared to the acidity of Amazonian rivers (4.5 to 7.5) for white and clear waters was considered normal. Therefore, it is necessary a more accurate observation regarding the entrance of organic matter in this hydrous body, since there is the presence of 100mm concrete washers that drain effluents into the lake, as well as the monitoring of the Biological Oxygen Demand in order to avoid bacterial proliferation and the Effluent Concentration in the Receiving Body - CECR, since the concentration of DO is low.
