Abstract
ABSTRACT
In view of the great contribution that sanitation services make to society and the environment, it is necessary to universalize it, serving all social classes, in the economic production sectors and in public and private institutions. Therefore, the present study aimed to establish sustainable sanitation practices in the Professor José da Silveira Netto University City, through qualitative and quantitative descriptive research and questionnaire application. Thus, it was possible to characterize and diagnose the existing sanitation systems on the campus and demonstrate that their operating capacity meets the functions of supplying drinking water and managing the effluents and solid waste generated. Although users are not completely satisfied with the systems, due to some shortcomings, their use meets basic needs on a regular basis. Furthermore, sustainable practices were suggested to further improve environmental sanitation systems and thus assist in the implementation of the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P) and the SDGs linked to sustainable sanitation practices.
