Abstract

ABSTRACT

This essay develops a reflection on the main challenges facing the African continent, regarding the climate agenda. Based on the assumption of double exposure (climatic and non-climatic), the reflection structures an analysis of the continent's socioeconomic, demographic and ecological indicators, and their correlation with the different dimensions of socio-ecological vulnerability. The reflection also extends to climate adaptation models with the potential to reduce the impacts of climate events on the continent's human and natural systems.
