Main Article Content
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This article presents a brief account of the initial and recent records on agroinnovation in the public context of the state of Santa Catarina and in Brazil, integrating public and private entities. Agroinnovation is an innovation ecosystem that is under development, but the connection between the two is still below what is desired, hence the need to enhance the connection between the agricultural sector and the innovation ecosystem to generate products, services and gains for the society of Santa Catarina and Brazilians. The new connections with Acate and the partnership in AgTech Day, up to the creation via Cederural of the Agroinnovation Sector Chamber, constitute significant advances for the incorporation of new technologies into agriculture in the state and country. The presence of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock - SAR/SC in calls for funding for Research & Development, as well as the incorporation of scientific and technological projects in the sector's agenda, de facto and in law.
