STATE, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEGAL FRAMEWORK CONCERNING URBAN SOUND POLLUTION
Main Article Content
Abstract
Noise pollution is an environmental problem that concerns government officials, due to diseases caused by noise. Recommendations were made based on the legal framework on noise pollution at the national and international levels. At the international level, laws and guidelines for monitoring noise pollution were verified. At the national level there are Federal, State Laws, Decrees and Resolutions, in addition to the rules of the National Environment Council and the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards. At the state level, there were states with legislation directly linked to the protection of the population against noise pollution. The measures adopted by the governments of several countries are proactive, with preventive action against various diseases, avoiding the outflow or misuse of public resources. In view of the data found, they demonstrate the need to carry out actions focused on education for sustainability and the construction of a more inclusive society with less potential for neighborhood conflicts and reduction of health problems caused by noise pollution.
