DIAGNÓSTICO DE SUSTENTABILIDADE ENERGÉTICA EM UMA EMPRESA DE LOGÍSTICA E PROPOSIÇÃO DE AÇÕES COM FONTES RENOVÁVEIS DIAGNOSIS OF ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY IN A LOGISTICS COMPANY AND PROPOSAL OF ACTIONS WITH RENEWABLE SOURCES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study conducts an energy sustainability diagnosis in a logistics company with the objective of assessing its current consumption and identifying opportunities for adopting renewable energy sources. The methodology applied consisted of a detailed analysis of electricity and fleet fuel invoices, a survey of the company's infrastructure (including available rooftops and areas), and dialogue with the management team to understand operational patterns. Using this data, the carbon footprint and energy intensity per ton transported/km traveled were calculated. Preliminary results indicate that electricity consumption is the main driver for immediate improvement implementation, showing high potential for installing a distributed generation photovoltaic system on the distribution centers. Furthermore, the progressive replacement of part of the fleet with electric vehicles and route optimization emerge as key actions to reduce the environmental impact of fossil fuel consumption. The proposed actions prioritize return on investment (ROI) and the reduction of dependence on non-renewable energy, aiming for greener and more competitive logistics. The conclusion is that the energy transition is both viable and economically attractive for the logistics sector.
