Abstract
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, somehow the whole society was impacted. Change of habits, ways people relate, health and sanitary controls. World has created a form depicted as a "new normal", where personal, work, consumer and so many others relationships had abrupt adaptations facing a demanded isolation. Some segments have suffered less, although others had to quickly adapt while some had "to hibernate" or even disappear. In that context, the Case Study present the "Núcleo das Casas Enxaimel" country fair in Ivoti -RS, a place where country side goods made by small local producers are marketed. The methodology applied to gather information was through semi-structured interviews, with exploratory and descriptive research, to measure which damages to region producers and tourism segment were results from the fair cancellation in the period from April to August 2020. It is concluded that fair participants were not prepared for the sudden fair interruption and because of that they suffered significant loss, as well as related segments. Proposals of how change the fair into a continuous digital and online event are presented as well as inclusion of touristic routes related to estate and ancient properties, features that head to minimize unforeseen events and even elevate local producers revenues.
