Noise pollution is the measure of sound too much, capable of generating not only discomfort or disturbance in people, interfering with concentration, but can cause various diseases that are perceived over time. For the preparation of this research, a Google Forms form was used, with questions about noise pollution and possible diseases identified by the interviewees in view of the noise coming from the neighborhood. The data were analyzed discursively, with crosses between the answers and the qualifications of the interviewees. The gender of the interviewees interfered in some of the answers, considering that everyone can have problems with loud sound. The crossing of the answers with the age group and the level of education was directly related to the agreement in the answers. It is observed that noise beyond that recommended by the WHO hinders the studies and performance of tasks. It was concluded that awareness and education are essential factors to reduce noise and, consequently, the harmful effects health, such as partial or total hearing loss, since noise pollution is an invisible factor, different from air and water pollution, in addition to the fact that many of the damages it can cause are irreversible.
