Main Article Content
Abstract
This article reports how the contradictory mining project was implemented in the historical-geographic context of Minas Gerais. The contract gave rise to the rapid enrichment of the Portuguese Crown. The objective is to locate constructions and deconstructions within the scope of Mineiridade and its project of society, in time and space. It is urgent that the local population learn about new ways of socioeconomic development. In this way, understanding the socio-environmental degradation and its impasses in the areas of Ecology and Humanities, it will be possible to combat the outdated model and usurper of wealth. For this, the main bibliographic references on the subject were found. After analyzing these indicators, areas were found in which mining, within a perverse logic and aligned with neoliberal capital, has committed atrocities. It was found that, due to the direct intervention of the broken dams, the society must reorganize itself to avoid new mining tragedies, since the risk areas should be under legal obligation to receive attention and monitoring. But now is the right time to reinvent Minas Gerais.
