WATER SOURCES: BRAZILIAN ENERGY APPROACH AND THE SMALL HYDROELECTRIC PLANTS INCREASE

Abstract

The brazilian energy depends of water sources in an evident manner. Lack of energy situations and enrivonmental thoughts growth result on an Estate needing to improve renewable resources, enables to keep the quality and, at the same time, increasing the economic and social development. The paper goals is to elucidate the historical and political  of Brazilian energy and the increase of Small Hydroelectric Plants in the normative system. The power plants incentive and the consequent difficulty in accomplishing the environmental control of a satisfactory way in the Environmental Licensing, due to the bureaucracy and the frequent tools precariousness for Environmental Impact Assessment are contextualised. It comes to an end that concerns the imminent setback in the environmental agenda. The article has been made under an updated bibliographic research on the analysis of periodical articles, books and environmental studies.
