CASE STUDY OF THE SOUND CLASSIFICATION IN OURO PRETO (MG) AND THE SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS

Abstract

The present study proposes to diagnose the origin of noise pollution in the historic city of Ouro Preto, to evaluate possible socio-environmental impacts and to study the effectiveness of the mitigating measures in execution. The problem question raised for the study is: what is the origin of noise pollution in the municipality of Ouro Preto and what is the effectiveness of the mitigation measures implemented to remedy the problems resulting from the socio-environmental impacts caused by noise pollution in the locality? To this end, a bibliographic research was carried out on the impacts arising from noise pollution, analysis of the legislation in force in the municipality, documentary data collected at the Municipal Inspection Department on the disturbances of disturbance of peace recorded in the period between 2007 and 2017, systematization and analysis data in the light of the theoretical framework.
