RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND SUSTAINABILITY: THE PILLARS OF ESG

Abstract

New information and communication technologies provide new contexts for companies requiring them to reformulate or create new business models. These are based on the possibilities and challenges of digital transformation linked to sustainability actions in organizations. In this scenario, the following problems have arisen: "What is digital transformation?", "What are the relationships between digital transformation and sustainability?" To answer this question the following objective was set: to analyse the relationships between digital transformation and sustainability. To this end, an integrative literature review was conducted using the Web of Science database. The results of the study indicate that digital transformation and sustainability are directly linked to economic activities, including the area of maintenance and facilities management. Post-pandemic trends show years of recovery and readaptation in the face of the crisis, together with digital transformation, which promises to improve more and more.
