Abstract
This article is intended briefly to present panoramas of mining in the Vale do Rio Paraopeba Region, more specifically in its high and medium slopes, in order to highlight possibilities of degradation of existing landscapes and heritage, highlighting economic alternatives such as ecotourism, geotourism , cultural tourism, religious tourism and rural tourism in Jeceaba and the surrounding region. It was characterized by traditional agrarian communities, although directly influenced by the prominent mining and steel industry in Alto Paraopeba. The city recently received the Mannesmann industrial park (V&S do Brasil) and this installation brought new perspectives to the city and its surroundings. After the end of the aforementioned project, a period of greater development began, in line with the possibilities of unbridled urbanization with impacts on neighboring cities. The small city that until then was marked only by the railway branch, and by the Paraopeba river sees new perspectives, being essential the planning, as well as the involvement of all the citizens. The work had as main methodology, the bibliographic review on the theme, with consultation with authors, as well as registering a small mapping of the tourist attractions of the region, showing landscapes and singular heritage that can promote an alternative and effectively sustainable development for the city and others. municipalities within the Paraopeba River channel. Finally, a unique set of natural and cultural landscapes is formed around conservation, forming mosaics that enhance tourism in the region.
